The work

Some clients are launching a product. Some are replacing a system that has become too costly to change. The engagements differ. The standard does not: the application should still be understandable after the people who first built it have moved on.

We work in writing. Decisions, constraints, and the reasons for a technical choice stay in a shared record, so distance does not turn into drift. That matters when the people using the software, and the people building it, are not in the same city.

Interfaces say what they do. Code is organized around the product, not around a fashion in frameworks. Cleverness has to pay rent.

A future teammate can find the rule, change it, and know what else moved. Tests describe behavior. Names are boring on purpose.

Compliant

Access, retention, and audit needs are designed with the feature. A policy that the system cannot support is not a control.

Scalable

Scale is more users, more data, and more teams touching the same product. The architecture should absorb that without a rewrite as the opening move.
